i am abe. not much to it, really. what do i look like? maybe you should take a look at the pictures here.
they may shed some light on the situation. i'm asian, about 6 feet tall, and, um, single. very single,
such that any girls interested in me should immediately contact
me...like that would ever happen lol. no really. i'm a nice guy, and i'm not desperate. seriously.
computers totally dominate my time. i waste an excess amount of time on them, and this has undoubtedly
contributed to my bad posture, carpal tunnel syndrome, and malformed social skills, although i was never
much of a people person. unlike your typical aol junkie, i do tons of cool stuff. used to, anyway. i still
do some cool stuff on occasion, like make pretty web pages such as the one you see here. i even do that
well enough for people to pay me to do it. check my stuff for info on my company.
i also do programming, 3d graphics (again, see my stuff), newly, 2d graphics and a bunch of other
stuff that escapes me now.
outside of computers, i enjoy listening to music, watching news on my nonexistant television, and, well,
not much else. in high school i used to do things...like i used to spend a lot of time with liz, who i dated for a while and am currently best friends
with, only she's now like 400 miles away and busy with another guy. i also used hang out with a bunch of people we call the renee fan
club, of whom happens to be named renee. this didn't always work out cause
we're notoriously poor at planning outings. now, due to my aforementioned malformed social skills, or
rather my affinity for all things computer, i mostly sit in my dorm by myself. oh wait, except for my
roomate, ed, who has a web page. this year (2002, sophomore
year), i joined the cmu kgb, since otherwise i would only leave my
room for food and maybe class.
i used to go to a high school called the academy for the advancement
of science and technology, which is a public magnet school, and is notorious for long names and
superfluous acronyms. people aside, it sucks, and even many of the people there suck too. it started off
alright but has since reached new
levels of suckness, not limited to the fact that a bunch of largely unskilled and uncreative people are
now running their web site. note how i previously was responsible for graphics, design, and a lot of the
programming for said web site. in addition to a disorganized ineffective administration, it basically
ensured that everyone there got into a lesser college than they would have otherwise at their local high
schools, with the exception of the absurdly intelligent. that sucks bigtime, and is one thing they don't
tell you when you apply.
along those lines, i am attending carnegie mellon university majoring in computer science.
i very much wanted to go to m.i.t. to do the same thing, but they rejected me, on account
of too many underqualified people being accepted there from my school the previous year, combined with
other random stupidity on behalf of my school. long story. carnegie mellon was my safety school, and 2nd
choice. i also got into stanford, but for various reasons decided i wanted to go to cmu.
anyway, rant over.
